Göcek Watermaker

Marine Water Purification for Yachts, Gulets & Sailing Boats

Sail Göcek Without Worrying About Water

Göcek is one of Turkey's most celebrated sailing destinations — and for good reason. Nestled in the sheltered waters of Göcek Bay, with 12 islands and dozens of anchorages, this corner of the Aegean draws thousands of visiting yachts every season. World-class marinas including D-Marin Göcek, Marinturk Göcek Village Port, Marinturk Göcek Exclusive, Club Marina and Skopea Marina make it a natural hub for blue cruise itineraries and long-range passages alike.

During the peak season from April through October, the majority of boats in Göcek are motor yachts, traditional gulets and sailing yachts ranging from 12 to 30 metres. A crew of 8–12 people can easily consume 300–600 litres of fresh water per day — a figure that adds up fast when marina water rates apply.

The remote coves and secluded anchorages of Göcek Bay are precisely what makes the region magical — but the further you go from shore, the harder fresh water becomes to find. A Seacraft watermaker installed on your boat removes that constraint entirely, letting you drop anchor in Kızılkuyruk, Bedri Rahmi Bay or Tersane Island for as long as you like.

Seacraft Watermakers provides on-site installation and technical service across Turkey. Our team comes directly to your boat in Göcek — no need to move to another port.

Why a Watermaker is Essential in Göcek

Remote Anchorages, Long Passages

Göcek's islands and coves are made for spending days away from any marina. Once you drop anchor in one of the bay's secluded spots, the last thing you want is to motor back to fill up with water. A Seacraft watermaker keeps you free to stay as long as you wish.

Responsible Blue Cruising

Göcek is one of Turkey's most carefully protected marine areas. By producing your own drinking water on board, you eliminate single-use plastic bottles entirely — the most sustainable choice for sailors who care about the sea they sail.

Eliminate Marina Water Costs

Water rates at Göcek marinas rise every season. With your own watermaker, you produce unlimited fresh water for the cost of electricity alone — a significant saving over a full season, especially for charter and long-stay boats.

WHO-Standard Drinking Water

Seacraft watermakers use reverse osmosis technology to convert seawater into drinking water that meets WHO standards. With Göcek Bay's 3.8% salinity, you can produce between 100 and 350 litres of clean water per hour depending on your model.

Choosing the Right Capacity for Your Boat

Capacity choice depends on how you use your boat — not just its size. Crew numbers, daily consumption habits and available power supply are the key deciding factors.

Model Output Power Typical Use
SCW-30 30 L/hr 12V DC Small sailing yacht, minimal crew, low power preference View
SCW-50 50 L/hr 12V DC Sailing yacht, catamaran, moderate consumption View
SCW-100 100 L/hr 12V DC / 220V Sailing yacht, catamaran, small-medium motor yacht View
SCW-150 150 L/hr 220V Motor yacht, gulet, large sailing yacht View
SCW-350 350 L/hr 230V / 50Hz Large motor yacht, superyacht, large gulet View

Göcek Marinas

We provide on-site installation and service at all major marinas and anchorages in and around Göcek Bay.

D-Marin Göcek

Göcek, Fethiye / Muğla

The flagship Göcek location of Turkey's leading marina group, with capacity for over 450 yachts. D-Marin Göcek offers long-term berthing and winter storage — making it an ideal base for watermaker installation during the off-season or on arrival.

Marinturk Göcek Village Port

Göcek, Fethiye / Muğla

A boutique marina known for its high service standards and welcoming atmosphere, Village Port is particularly popular with European visiting yachts. It sees heavy international traffic throughout the season.

Marinturk Göcek Exclusive

Göcek, Fethiye / Muğla

The premium destination for superyachts and luxury vessels over 30 metres. Boats berthed at Exclusive typically benefit from the SCW-350's higher output — essential for larger crews and extended passages.

Club Marina

Göcek, Fethiye / Muğla

One of Göcek's most established marinas, Club Marina is a favourite among sailing yacht owners and mid-size motor yacht crews. Long-stay boats here typically recoup the cost of a watermaker installation within a single season.

Skopea Marina

Göcek, Fethiye / Muğla

Positioned at the southern entrance to Göcek Bay, Skopea Marina offers calm shelter and easy access to the bay's best anchorages. It serves as both a departure point and a turnaround base for many blue cruise routes.

Frequently Asked Questions — Göcek

Yes. Göcek Bay has an average salinity of around 3.8%, which is ideal for reverse osmosis systems. Seacraft watermakers operate at full rated capacity between 3.5% and 4.2% salinity. In shallow inner coves, salinity may drop slightly — which actually increases output rather than reducing it.

For the typical 20–24 metre blue cruise gulet in Göcek, the SCW-150 Pro Modular is the most suitable choice. Running for 2–3 hours per day, it comfortably covers the daily water needs of 8–12 crew. For gulets over 24 metres or carrying more than 12 people, we recommend stepping up to the SCW-350.

We offer an annual maintenance package for boats that winter in Göcek. End-of-season membrane cleaning, filter replacement and winterisation are carried out on-site by our technicians. We recommend booking your service appointment from October onwards to secure a convenient slot before the marina quietens.

No. Our technical team carries out on-site installations across Turkey. We come directly to your berth in Göcek and complete the installation there. In many cases, a short video call beforehand is enough to assess the available space on board and confirm the installation plan.

Seacraft is Turkey's domestic watermaker manufacturer. Every electronic automation module is produced in-house, and spare parts are always available from local stock. With imported brands, a failed component can mean waiting weeks for a part to arrive — in Göcek, in the middle of your season. With Seacraft, you call, we come. CE and ISO 9001 certified production, 2-year warranty included.
